Unveiling | China Haisum and National Innovation Center par Excellence (NICE) Establish Joint Innovation Center

Recently, CCTV-1's News Broadcast featured a segment in the "New Thoughts Leading New Journeys" series, reporting on the practices and achievements of the National Innovation Center par Excellence (NICE) in promoting collaborative innovation and integration of science and technology within the Yangtze Delta Region.

To further accelerate its strategic deployment and development in emerging and future industries, China Haisum and NICE have officially established a joint innovation center. The unveiling ceremony was held at the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Shanghai. The plaque was jointly unveiled by Chen Rongrong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China Haisum, and Shi Gongqi, Member of the Management Committee of NICE and Vice President of the Shanghai Yangtze Delta Innovation Institute.

During the ceremony, both Shi Gongqi and Chen Rongrong delivered speeches. They expressed their hope that this collaboration would enhance mutual understanding, create a high-quality research platform, and deepen and broaden their cooperation in technological innovation.

Shi Gongqi remarked that China Haisum, as a "national team" in the light industry, has outstanding research and development capabilities in core process technology in the field of engineering services. Through the joint innovation center, both parties can strengthen their cooperation in technical achievement transformation, business synergy, shared research resources, and talent cultivation.

Chen Rongrong expressed gratitude for NICE's support and trust in China Haisum. He expressed hope for comprehensive cooperation with NICE, mutual empowerment, and the promotion of technological innovation and progress in the industry. He also emphasized the importance of bridging the last mile of scientific research achievement transformation and contributing to the economic development of the Yangtze Delta Region.

Both parties agreed to focus on the following three areas for deep cooperation:

Jointly exploring a new "combination of appropriation and investment" model for technological innovation to facilitate the implementation of forward-looking technologies and projects, and promote the industrialization of scientific research achievements;

Collaboratively developing mechanisms and models for industrial technology application research and integrated innovation; and jointly advancing the integration of industry and education to cultivate master's and doctoral students, preparing innovative talents for the future development of enterprises;

Enhancing the synergy between NICE's innovation resources in intelligent manufacturing, clean energy, and new materials with China Haisum's various business sectors, and jointly promoting the construction of an "International Advanced Technology Application Promotion Center".

Prior to the ceremony, a delegation led by Chen Rongrong visited the NICE exhibition hall. Key leaders from China Haisum's Shanghai headquarters, as well as relevant department heads from both the headquarters and the local office, attended the event.

The NICE is a comprehensive national technology innovation center approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and jointly built by Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui. It is a major initiative to implement the national strategy for the integrated development of the Yangtze Delta Region, promoting regional technological innovation and the transformation of achievements. It is positioned to realize the transformation from science to technology, organically combining national strategic deployment with the innovation needs of the Yangtze Delta Region, with the core mission of promoting key technology research in important fields. It promotes transfer, transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements in collaboration with industries, universities and research institutes, and supplies technologies and transformation services for industrial development of the Yangtze Delta Region, empowering technology-driven enterprises. Currently, it has participated in the creation of over 100 specialized research institutions and innovation enterprises, covering areas such as new-generation information technology, new materials, equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, energy, and environmental protection.
